Paintings from the second part of the 18th to early 20th century

Данный раздел, как наиболее ценная часть собрания Острогожской картинной галереи, своим составом, историческими рамками определен условиями создания галереи. Живописное собрание первой и второй половины XIX века складывалось на протяжении нескольких десятилетий; первое значительное поступление было уже в 1907 году. Наиболее активный период комплектования относится к 1908–1910 гг. и к концу 1920-х гг.
Источники поступления можно разделить на несколько основных: картины, присланные в дар семьей Крамского, его друзьями – учениками Академии художеств, поступления из музея Императорской Академии художеств и Государственного музейного фонда.
В коллекции представлены произведения мастеров круга Крамского, свидетельствующие о высоком профессиональном мастерстве и художественном вкусе их создателей.
